IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Adelle Denise
Penn
December 13, 1965 – May 19, 2022
On December 13, 1965, in San Diego, California, a beautiful bundle of joy entered the world, Adelle Denise Penn. She
was the ninth out of ten children. Adelle's soft expressive eyes accentuated her loving personality, her sensitivity, and her gentleness. Adelle was baptized at an early age in the Church of Christ where she accepted our Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior.
Adelle attended Muskogee High School graduating in 1984. She briefly attended Central State University, later transferring to Connors State University graduating with a certification as a phlebotomist. She later worked in the medical field as a phlebotomist, six years at Mercy hospital in Oklahoma City and Bryant Institute of Medical Assistance, nine years at St. Francis in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and eight years at the Veteran's Administration in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Adelle was an exceptional phlebotomist highly respected by her peers.
Adelle enjoyed life, traveling when time permitted, cooking her grand-childrens favorite dishes, and preparing meals for others. She had a hardy contagious laugh and an inviting smile. She used her quick wit to diffuse situations and to
create harmony always focusing on the importance of having great relationships with family. She was a "peacemaker".
Adelle was an avid sports enthusiast, two of her favorite teams were the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Baltimore
Ravens. When she was watching her "games" and picked up the phone by mistake she would politely reply "I will call you back." You didn't get between her and her games.
On Thursday, May 19, 2022, at the age of 56, at 1:40 PM, God put his arms around Adelle and whispered, "Come with me." Although we loved Adelle dearly, we could not make her stay. Her golden heart stopped beating.
Adelle was preceded in death by her father, James Paul Penn, Sr., sister, Margaret Jean Cross, and brother, Lonnie Fuller Robinson.
Those left to cherish Adelle's memories are her mother, Mattie Louise Penn; daughters, Brittany Nicole Penn, Shearon Marie Penn (Sissy), and Dominique Denise Brown;five grandchildren, Bralin, Bryan, Bryson, Kyrie, and ReRe; siblings, Jackie Ray Robinson, Celeste Jean Burden (Louis Burden, Sr.), Paulette Penn, James Paul Penn, Jr., Regina Andrews (Kevin Andrews), Sharon Larue Penn, and Howard Keifer Penn; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
