Mr. Albert Oliver Burns was born in Wewoka, Oklahoma on November 21, 1919, the son of Jack and Pricilla [Jackson] Burns.
He will be missed by his loving family, cherishing the pleasant memories, laughs and family times. He worked diligently during his lifetime as a Supply Technician for Wolf Creek Nuclear Plant before his retirement.
Life can never be taken for granted, and the blessing of life for 91 years is a testament to his faithful life, well lived.
He closed his eyes for the last time on earth on Saturday, October 8, 2011 while convalescing at Pleasant Valley Nursing Home in Muskogee. He was preceded in death by his parents, a child, Wilbert Burns and 4 siblings, Theon Burns, Willie Burns, Jerry Burns and Leford Burns.
He leaves to continue the family legacy; his children, Loretta Burns Borner, Owensville, Maryland, Oliver Burns, DeSoto, Texas, and Melvin Sanders, Brownsville, New Jersey; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; a sibling, Lenwood Burns, Wichita, Kansas; along with other relatives and friends.
Honoring Mr. Burns wishes, his cremains will be interred in the Memorial Park Cemetery with his beloved wife, Willie Everly Burns, who preceded him in death in 1995.
