On January 18, 1959, a precious baby boy was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Albert Davis Sr “Pokey” and Teresa Ann Russel, and they named him Albert Davis Jr., also known as “Jr” or “Al”. Albert was 67 years of age.
He attended school in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He united with Uganda Martyrs Catholic Church in Okmulgee at an early age.
Later he moved to Gary Indiana. He later joined and proudly served in the United States Army and received and honorable discharge.
Albert met Regina Anderson in Gary, Indiana. They were soon married on July 13, 1978. From this union a daughter and a son were born.
Albert worked as an over-the-road truck driver, something that he really loved to do. Driving across country and seeing almost all 50 states. When he became disabled and was no longer able to drive, he returned home to Oklahoma to live in March 2025.
God chose to call Albert home and Albert dozed into a peaceful slumber of eternal rest on Wednesday April 29, 2026, in his apartment in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Albert was proceeded in death by his father and mother, his maternal grandparents Marie Ross Russell Beverly Harris Russell. Paternal grandparents Quincy and Bessie Lee Lipscomb Davis. And many uncles and aunts and relatives and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his daughter Ritchetta Davis and his two grandsons Davion and Steven of Gary, Indiana, his son and daughter n law Da Shaun and Tamarra Davis of Mansfield, Texas; his brothers Clarence and Larry Davis of Waco, Texas andCarl Davis of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Great Aunts Mildred (Ross) Wilson of Okmulgee Oklahoma, Mattie Irene (Ross) Steinline of Raymore, Missouri and Pastor Patrice (Ross) (Chuck) Goode of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Great Uncles Sterling Ross Jr and Mark Ross Sr of Okmulgee, Oklahoma and Geroge Ross of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Robert Ross of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Curly Ross of Desoto, Texas; Aunts Betty (Dave) Davis of Lawton, Oklahoma and Ysleta Davis of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Mary Dean and Pat Davis of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; Uncle Rodney Davis of Okmulgee, Oklahoma and a host of other relatives and friends.
The Hour of Rememebrance for Albert will commence on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at The Eleventh Hour in The Chapel of Peace of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors Inc., of Okmulgee.
