IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Albert Alexander
Sutton
November 26, 1977 – October 22, 2025
Albert Alexander Sutton was born November 26,1977, from the union of Yvonne C (Cottrell) Lewis and Albert Alexander Sutton, better known as Marcus, he spent most of his life in Okmulgee, Oklahoma and a period of time in Tulsa. Marcus was the bouncing, baby boy with the most hazel eyes that caught every one's attention.
Marcus kept it real and many people loved his outgoing personality. He loved his family and those who were family to him, blood relative or not was a really big thing to him. He was a solid man, who didn't bite his tongue and was a stand-up guy. He loved to listen to music and also loved to cook and "eat" also.
During his high school years, he moved Tulsa Oklahoma, where he played football for Central high. He transferred to Memorial High and graduated from Memorial. During his marriage to Stephanie, he became a member of Belvin Baptist Church, where he drove the church bus and was active there and served capacity that was asked of him whenever needed. Marcus's health declined but he had the chance to repent for his sins and on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 God called him home to eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Donald Ray Sutton.
He leaves to lament his passing: his loving mother, Yvonne Lewis, his step mother Angie Sutton, his beautiful ex-wife Stephanie Marie Sutton: Six children Kiera Baughman, Damon Kemp, Kobe Molet, Deja Perkins, Miya Sutton, and Ivy Trout: a grandson Kingsley "Alexander" Tate: Four sisters, Marquita Marshall, Alnisha Booker, Makea Pankey, and Cynthia Byrd: two brothers, Leon Grant and Reginald Sutton. Along with a host of other relatives, friends, and classmates.
The Service of Memory for Marcus will be on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 3:00 PM in the Greater Jones AME Zion Church. Pastor Harold White, Pastor of New Salem Baptist Church, will preside.
