On August 21, 1920, a son was born to Virgil and Bertha [Dansby Teague, and they named him Albert Vernos.
Albert accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He later served his Country Honorably in the United States Army during World War II.
He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Muggie James Teague and to this union, three children were born. After returning from his service in the Army, Albert settled in Wichita, Kansas, where he became a member of St. John Baptist Church and later, joined Tabernacle Baptsit Church under Pastor Lincoln Montgomery, where he was a member until the Lord call him home.
Albert was united in marriage to Mildred Gleen, however, this marriage was later dissolved.
Mr. Teague worked in the construction industry and after living in Wichita for 51 years, he relocated back to Muskogee to be close to his loved ones.
On February 21, 2009, Albert answered the Lord's calling from Pleasant Valley Nursing Facility in Muskogee. He was preceded in death by his father, his mother, his wife, Muggie, a brother, Roy Teague, Sr.
Those who remain to remember; hi sson, Raymond Benson Teague, Sr.; step-daughter, Frances Newton, Kansas City, Kansas; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; a caravan on nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
The Hour of Remembrance will be on Friday, February 27, 2009 at 12 Noon in the Chapel of the Funeral Home in Muskogee. Reverend Richard Brooks, Senior Pastor of Evangelist Temple Baptist Church, will Preside.
The Christian Committal will follow at 2:00 P.M. in the National Cemetery at Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
