On June 21, 1934, a bundle of joy was delivered to Roosevelt Cole and Christina Taylor. Their new found joy was a bouncing baby girl named Alberta Estell. In her Baptist faith, Alberta was a dedicated mother, who enjoyed cooking and family time. She labored for MacDonnell-Douglas in Los Angeles, California for 30 years. On Wednesday morning, June 15, 2011, Alberta Cleveland, in her 76th season, surrendered her soul to Jesus. She is preceded in death by her sister, Delorise Colbert, daughters: Pastor Wanda Cole-Brown, and Clara Mae Cole.
Remaining to cherish her precious memories: her loving nephews: Wesley Colber (Lisa), Okmulgee, OK., Ted Colbert (Zelma), Tulsa, OK., Nathaniel Colbert, Bobby Ray Colbert (Sharon), and Ray Colbert (Dianne), all of Okmulgee, OK., her nieces: Ruth Mitchell, Lular Tucker (Albert), Lois Hammon (J.D.), and Shirley Colbert, all of Okmulgee, OK., Eileen Murdock (Darryl), Broken Arrow, OK., and Terrina Alexander (L.C.), Okmulgee, OK., along with a host of other relatives and many friends.
No public services will be held for Mrs. Cleveland. Flowers and cards will be accepted at the funeral home.
