Obituary

It all began on Marcy 14, 1948, when Alfred Louis Chaplin was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma from the loving union of Carl and Ednerine Chaplin. He was their seventh child and was nicknamed "Kick Me Too".

Alfred was educated in the Muskogee Public Schools and worked as a laborer throughout his lifetime. He lived and worked in Tulsa, Oklahoma, before returning to live in Muskogee with his sister and her family. Mr. Chaplin was a happy and loving person that was always willing to work. He, along with his nephew, Brian Chaplin, would work have jobs and work them together, they played together and usually, if you saw one, you saw the other.

His time with us, on earth, came to a close on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ednerine Chaplin, five brothers, Robert, Carl Jr., Ernest Maurice, Clarence "Ricky", and Leonard, along with a sister, Ruby Jean.

He leaves to celebrate his life; his siblings and their spouses, Arnett and Linda Chaplin, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Charles and Evelyn Chaplin, Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Helen and Larry Scroggins, Sr., Muskogee, Oklahoma; a special Nephew, Brian Chaplin; his Aunts and Uncles, Evelyn and Jack Jackson, Boynton, Oklahoma, Elsie Moorehead, St. Louis, Missouri, Lucille Vann, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Pat Rucker, Muskogee, Oklahoma, a special friend, Michael "BoBo" Green; along with a caravan of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss his presence.

We will gather on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the Elohim Love Center Ministries, 517 South "L" Street. Pastor Steven Rucker, the gracious host Pastor, and Reverend Nelson Ross, Pastor of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Tullahassee, will deliver the Eulogy.

Burial will follow in the Friday Cemetery at Haskell, Oklahoma.
