Alimay was a trailblazer in the field of retail sales, when in the early 1960's she became the first African American hired by Froug's Department store in downtown Tulsa.  There she represented our race well where she carried her flair for fashion and gentle customer-friendly way into the position and paved the way for others to eventually follow her footsteps.

Never retired, she was a longtime usher at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center.

A longtime member of First Baptist Church North Tulsa, she served on many committees and worked with several ministries, following the sterling example of her mother, aunt and others before her.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Alimay Daniels will be Wednesday September 27, 2017 at 11AM at First Baptist Church on North Greenwood.

Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Friends may visit Mrs. Daniels as she peacefully rests on Tuesday September 27 from 1PM until 7PM in The Tulsa Chapel.
