Amica Lashon
McGee
Mar 25, 1974 — Jun 1, 2026
Amica Lashon McGee was born on March 25, 1974, in Phoenix, Arizona to Greta Behn and Franklin McGee.
In her early childhood, Amica and her mother relocated to Okmulgee, where she was raised. At a young age, she accepted Christ and was baptized at New Salem Baptist Church. Amica graduated from Okmulgee High School as a proud member of the Class of 1992. She was especially proud to be a "Bulldog" and carried that pride with her throughout her life. Following graduation, she continued her education at University of Oklahoma.
After completing her studies, Amica began her career with Saint Francis Health System, where she dedicated many years of faithful service. After many years of dedicated service in the healthcare field, Mica discovered a new professional path in the insurance industry. She joined Progressive Insurance, where she continued to demonstrate the same commitment, professionalism, and compassion that had defined her healthcare career.
Amica's children, M’lyah, Kristan, and Alyna—along with her sister, nieces, nephews, and countless friends, were the center of her world. Family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with those she loved. Amica enjoyed traveling and creating lasting memories on countless cruises, preparing meals for family and friends, and never passed up the opportunity for a good game of spades.
On the quiet afternoon of June 1, 2026, Amica Lashon McGee peacefully transitioned from this earthly life into eternal rest. She is preceded in death by her mother, Greta Behn.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her beloved children, M'Lyah Littlejohn, Kristan Littlejohn, and Alyna Clark, all of Tulsa; her father, Franklin McGee of Phoenix, Arizona; and her sister, Karla Hutton of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
She also leaves behind her cherished nieces: L'Oreal Grant, Alexandria Jordan “Allie”, Jayden Jordan “Pada”, Jennifer Hammon, Nareya Hutton, Jaylean Hutton, and Lindsei Brown; and her beloved nephews, Jaeland Jordan and Reyfil Hutton. She was also blessed with great-nieces and great-nephews, Kambrie Bull, Braedyn Hammon, and Brandon Hammon Jr., who brought much joy to her life.
Amica's love extended beyond family ties to her treasured godchildren, Rayvonte James, Jared James, and Trinaya James, her special friends Catrina James, Tamika LuGrand, Sarah Johnson, and Tammy Sinder. She also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends.
The Sacred Farewell for Amica will commence on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at the Eleventh Hour in the most holy sanctuary of St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church in Okmulgee.
