Mr. Amos R. Curry, Jr., age 67 and a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on June 11, 2006 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
It all began in Oklahoma City on April 9, 1939, when the first son was born to Amos Sr. and Hattie Lee Curry.
Realizing the importance of spiritual life at an early age, Amos invited Christ into his life and united with First Baptist Church of Redbird, Oklahoma in 1953.
He received his education at Miller Washington High School in Redbird and served in the United States Army.
He leaves behind; Lisa, Trent, Phillip and Anita, his children; 17 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Alberta, Alfred, Ruby, Shirley, Joetta, Gwendolyn, Lorraine, Vanessa, Carol, Scott, Brian and Lilia; a step-brother, Leroy; a step-sister, Alice Faye; along with other relatives and friends.
The service of remembrance for Mr. Curry will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. in the First Baptist Church of Red Bird, Oklahoma. Burial will follow in Red Bird Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday from 12 Noon until 7 PM at the funeral home in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
