It all began in Yahola, Oklahoma, where Willie and Martha [Haley] Vealy, were blessed with a new daughter. This baby girl, the second of six children, was named Anna Bell Vealy. Affectionately referred to as Lil' Stella, by her family and friends, she accepted Christ into her life at an early age at the Wilson Chapel Baptist Church, near Taft, Oklahoma. Later in life, she became a member of the St. Mark Baptist Church in Muskogee.

Anna Bell married Willie Underwood on November 24, 1949 in Muskogee County. Their love produced ten children, before his death in December of 1997.

Just before Eleven o'clock on Friday morning, February 16, 2007, Anna Bell answered her Master's call from labor to reward. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Underwood, her parents, Willie and Marth Vealy, three brothers, Leroy Edwards, Robert Vealy and Andrew Vealy, two sons, Clarence Underwood and Johnny Underwood and a daughter, Brenda Kay Underwood.
