"Reflection...and Remembrance!"
Annie Pearl Jones

It is said that when life begins, it is like an open book with many blank pages. And each day as we live, our deeds are recorded, chapter by chapter until we close our eyes in death and slip away into eternity.

It all began in Shreveport, Louisiana on July 27, 1930, when Warren and Exie Todd Montgomery rejoiced over the arrival of their only child, a baby girl whom they named Annie Pearl Montgomery. She was raised in Jefferson, Texas where she graduated from Central High School. She began to fill the pages of her book as she developed into a beautiful woman. She met a gentleman, George Jones, Jr., and was smitten. Attraction grew into love and their love blossomed into marriage. Their marriage was fruitful and two sons were brought into their legacy. In 1952 the couple moved to Tulsa to finish out their life. Ann realized the importance of a personal relationship with Christ and was a faithful member of St. Andrew's Baptist Church. Because of her faithful service, she was promoted to serve as a Senior Church Mother. She was a devoted member, and a special place in her heart for this church, its members, and especially Pastor and Mrs. Bertrand M. Bailey. Ann was a loyal friend, faithful servant of God and a kind and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Jones worked for many years, both at Hillcrest and St. Francis Hospital, retiring from Oklahoma Osteopathic Hospital, now Oklahoma State University Medical Center. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Gone, but not Forgotten

It was on Monday evening, August 23, 2010 at 8 o'clock when Annie Pearl Jones, after 80 seasons, "heard a voice from Heaven saying, 'come unto me and rest' and surrendered her soul to Jesus." She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one son, Paul Wayne Jones. She leaves in God's care: one devoted and loving son, Frank Jones, Sr. (Pat), Okmulgee, OK., three grandsons: Frank Jones, Jr., Tulsa, OK., Tyronne Jones (Michelle), Fort Worth, TX., Ronnie Gay (Carla) Clarmeore, OK., 12 great-grandchildren, a special cousin, Frank Allen Gibson, whom was raised like a brother to her, a sister-like friend Lois Hopkins, along with many other friends and other relatives.

Services for Mrs. Jones will be Monday August 30, 2010 at 10AM at St. Andrew Baptist Church in Tulsa. Visitation will also be in Tulsa from 4PM-6PM.
