Obituary

In the fall of 1923, Bill and Ruth [Jones] Mackey were blessed with a baby girl on the 27th day of October. They named their new daughter Annie.

Annie grew up in the Braggs community, where she attended school at the Howard Chapel Public School. While still early in her formative years, she accepted Christ into her life and attended teh Blackjack Baptist church, which was also in Braggs.

On Thursday, February 23, 2006, Annie Mackey Howell surrendered to the will of our Lord in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters and her husband.

Remaining to wait on the Lord; her daughter, Allene McBath & husband, Cleotis, Wainwright, Oklahoma; a sister. Leople Brown, Muskogee, Oklahoma; a brother, John Mackey, Sr., St. Louis, Missouri; 5 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and a caravan of other relatives and friends.

The farewell held on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 2:30 P.M.in the Canaan Baptist Church in Muskogee. Reverend George W. Reese, Jr., Presiding. Burial on Monday, March 6, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. in the National Cemetery at Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
