In the year of 1935, a son was born to Anshaw and Katie Williams on the 12th of January. They named him Anshaw Williams, Jr. Better known to everyone as "Bilo", Mr. Williams attended Douglas Grammer School and then attended Rentiesville High School. While at Rentiesville, Bilo excelled in basketball and in 1953, they became National District Champions.
After high school, Bilo enterend the United States Army, serving his country honorably from September 10, 1957 to September 3, 1959. After completing his duties in the Army, he met and later married Ellen Greenleaf, and together, they were blessed with three daughters. This marriage was later dissolved.
During his lifetime, Bilo worked construction and also operated his own business. He loved sports, even up until his death.
The end came on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 in Muskogee. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Paulene Williams and Thelma Jean Williams, and a granddaughter, Romaine Martin.
He leaves to lament his passing; his daughters, Evelyn Williams, Estell Williams and Ronica Williams; along with his grandchildren, uncles, aunts, and a caravan of other relatives and friends.
The final salute will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 2:30 PM in the Eastside First Baptist Church of Checotah, Oklahoma. Reverend Bertha Jackson, the gracious host Pastor and Reverend Samuel Harper, Pastor of Sulphur Springs Baptist Church, Presiding.
