"Reflections of Anthony's Life"

On October 1, 1960, a precious baby boy was delivered into the hands of Leon Barre and Ola Mae McCaskill in Chicago, Illinois. His education journey began in Tulsa, Oklahoma, culminating with his graduation from Mason High School with the class of 1979. As an all-state athlete, he excelled in track, basketball, and football. He continued his educational journey at Eastern State University in Wilbeton, Oklahoma on a track scholarship where he won championships 3 consecutive years. He later matriculated to Okmulgee Tech in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to receive training in building and construction. Following his father's footsteps, he landed a job with Rockwell where he was employed for 30 years. The company would later be re-named Boeing, and then to its current name, Spirit Aerosystems. "Tony" also established and operated Barre' Remodeling and Construction Company for 21 years. He also served as a coach for several little league t-ball teams, Mighty Might Football, Tulsa Express Track and Field, and Tulsa Parks and Recreation basketball. As a coach, he won 5 Indian National Football Championships and several coaching excellence awards presented by The Salvation Army, and Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro-Tulsa.

Anthony was a caring individual who adored children and cherished his family. He was well respected in the community as a leader, coach, hero, and positive role model to many. He was also a servant of God, which showed through his consistent acts of kindness and good deeds. He was a productive, and hard working citizen who encouraged self-confidence and perseverance. He will forever be remembered and missed by many. The final chapter of "Anthony's Life" was written in the early hours of Friday April 30, 2010 in Tulsa. Anthony was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Revis Paul and Masaleigh Barre', maternal grandparents, Harrison McCaskill, and Mable Raagsdale, and an aunt Kay Cayton.
