Obituary

On August 1st, 1935, the world was blessed to welcome one of the most powerful sons of the gospel, Ernest Louis Jackson Jr., one of 8 children born in New Orleans, LA, to Ernest Louis, Sr. and Octavia (Davis) Jackson. He always had a heart of compassion for people and at the age of 14 accepted the call to the ministry. Years later he met the love of his life, Ora Lee Fulton and were married August 4, 1956. To this beautiful union 6 amazing children were born; Ernesel Griffin, Denise Tottress, Pamela Wiley (Stephen), Felecia Jackson, Don Jackson, and Eldredge Jackson. Apostle had an extensive career as a welder and quality inspector for over 30 plus years to provide for his family while serving in various facets of ministry leading up to pastoring then apostleship.

At the leading of the Holy Spirit, the family moved to Tulsa, OK in August of 1972 and in 1979 they founded The Hope of Glory Church. Always eager to further their education for the heart of God, they attended Rhema Bible College, both graduating in 1980. In June, 2000 the church merged into the capable hands with Praise Center Family Church, his son in love and daughter, Pastors Stephen and Pamela Wiley, Muskogee and Tulsa locations.  The Lord called Apostle Ernest and First Lady Ora to further their ministry to Ghana West Africa founding, The Mission of Hope International in 1994, establishing 13+ churches in partnership with Bishop Emmanuel Botwey of Christian Faith Ministries International, Takaradi, Ghana WA.

Apostle Jackson was known for his deep knowledge and memorization of scripture. He was blessed with a soul stirring singing voice that touched many hearts. He was a beloved husband, father, counselor and friend who dearly loved his family and his church members. He was a man with a pure heart, personable, compassionate soul who would light up a room with his infectious smile. His spiritual family was also dear to him: Drs. Rick and Barbara Layton, Dr. W.R. and Alvis Walker, Mother Elizabeth Ackah, Bishop Emmanuel Botwey and Evangelist Harry Jackson.

Apostle Jackson was preceded in death by his parents Ernest Sr. and Octavia Jackson, his siblings Earl, Rowena, Joseph, Beverly, Patricia and David Jackson; his children Denise Tottress, Eldredge Jackson and grandson Joshua Griffin. He leaves to cherish his memory, his sister Anna Jackson Ellis, daughter-in-loves Regina Jackson, Kim Jackson, many grand and great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives.

The Celebratory Service will commence Saturday November 1, 2025 at 11AM at Praise Center Family Church in Tulsa.

Friends may visit on Friday October 31, 20225 from 1PM - 6PM in The Tulsa Chapel.  Floral Arrangements will be accepted during this time.
