Apostle Lathon Archie, Jr., was born in Clinton, Oklahoma on March 5, 1960, the son of Lathon and Annette Archie.
He began his spiritual training in his home and at Hawkins Chapel COGIC, where his father, Elder Lathon Archie, Sr., was the Pastor. He started playing the piano as a young boy at church, and his singing flourished during these formative years.
Apostle Archie attended Emmerson Elementary, Frederick Junior High and Senior High School. Throughout his high school years, he attained many accomplishments with his musical talent. His accomplishments were just as amazing in Football and Track. As of today, he still holds the record for most yards ran in a football season.
His athletic talents helped him to earn a scholarship to McPherson College in McPherson, Kansas. He also furthered his education at C.H. Mason Bible College, Cameron University and OSU Okmulgee, where he obtained his Journeyman Electrical License. On December 22, 1988, he obtained a Certificate of Ordination from the Church of God in Christ, inc., and a Certificate of Apostleship from the Trumpet in Zion International Ministries in 1996. In 2013, Apostle Archie received a Doctorate of Theology from North Carolina College of Theology. His accolades are too numerous to list.
In 1979, he married his high school sweetheart, Marnita Lavonne Hudson, and their union was blessed with four beautiful children. Together, they raised their children with strong, family values and integrity. Together, they founded Faith Deliverance Christian Center in Muskogee in 1992 and a second location in Okmulgee.
Apostle Archie was a community servant, with a dynamic commitment to the youth, community development and training, special events bringing celebrity guests with "Praise in the Park" and a vast use of his Gifts from God displaying his passion for souls and bringing peace to many. He could never say no to anyone in need.
This Servant of God, in his 55th year, transitioned from "Labor to Refreshment" on Saturday, March 11, 2015 from Muskogee. He was met at the Golden Gates by his daughter, Amber, and his Parents, Lathon and Annette Archie, Sr.
