Ms. April Denise Summers, in her 59th season, transitioned to Eternal Rest on Friday, May 27, 2022, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Ms. Summers was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she spent her formative years; she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in liberal studies from the University of Hawaii. Later in life, she also obtained her master's degree in human resources from East Central University. In her last position, she served as the director of alcohol and substance abuse programs with the Department of Family and Children's Services in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Bollet. Those left to greive are her mother, Diane Bollet; her aunt, Rosemary Simpson (Posey); uncle, Milton Taylor; and a host of cousins.

She was comforted in her last days by her partner, Sheila.

April had the mind of a teacher—she was so kind and always willing to help others. She had the heart of an angel. She will be greatly missed by so many whose lives she has touched and changed for the better. Most of all, she taught us how to love. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

Services will be Saturday June 4, 2022 at 11AM inside Biglow's All Faiths Chapel in Tulsa. Friends may visit her on Friday from 1PM until 6PM in Tulsa.
