On September 24, 1983 God chose one of His most precious spirits to be born Ariel "Toi" LaTorya Grant. Ariel accepted God as her Lord and Savior at a very early age. She attended Northside COGIC as a youth. But moved her membership to first Life Church then The Gate Church when she moved to OKC. Ariel se rved the Lord in several areas of each church.  She was also very proud to be asked to host some virtual bible studies during COVID.

Ariel graduated from Thomas Edison High School in the class of 20 02 . Then went on to receive a Degree in Journalism at University of Central Oklahoma. Ariel loved to write, and wrote articles in the Tulsa World while attending Edison. While at UCO she pledged Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority, Inc.

On October 18, 2014 she married the love of her life Terrance Smith. And he was a loving and dedicated husband throughout her life and illness.

After a battle with breast cancer at the very early age of 38, Ariel "Toi" LaTorya Smith passed away Friday March 4, 2022 at St. Anthony Hospital in OKC surrounded by her loved ones.

Ariel's beloved grandfather Eugene Grant Jr. preceded her in death.

Ariel leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband Terrance Smith, her beloved Zoe. Her parents Billy & Tina Ridge. Brothers- Phillip (Jennifer) Hawthorne, Nicholas Hawthorne, Juan (Katie) Ridge. Sisters-Deitra Lawson (IL), Angelica Ridge, Takiia Ridge. Sisters-In-Love Tia Stewart-Hatcher (TX), (Larry) Tiarena Hunt (CA). Godmother Perma James. Grandmother Bernice Grant. (4) Nieces but one special niece Sierra Hawthorne whom she lovingly called her girl. (8) Nephews and a host of special Aunts, Uncles, close cousins and friends.

Services will be Saturday March 12, 2022 at 11AM at Full Gospel Outreach Ministries in Tulsa.

Friends may visit Mrs. Smith on Friday from 1PM until 6PM inside the Tulsa Chapel.
