Mrs. Arlea Jordan, in her 81st year, answered the Master's call on August 11, 2005 from Okmulgee. Mrs. Jordan was born in Nuyaka, Oklahoma on November 25, 1923 from the union of William and Bertha [Venters] Lunsford. She attended Shady Grove School in Nuyaka and was affectionately referred to as "Lent" by family and friends.

She united in marriage to Willie B. Jordan on March 12, 1939 and their union was blessed with 2 daughters. Mrs. Jordan spent most of her life as a devoted and meticulous housewife. She was always willing to assist in the farming duties, she was a great cook and an excellent business woman. She was a member of Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church and will be missed by all who knew her.

She leaves to lament her passing; her loving husband, Willie B. Jordan; 2 daughters, Willia [Ted] Lovett and Claudette Jordan; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ethel Propps; along with a caravan of other relatives and friends.

The final hour for Mrs. Jordan will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. in the New Salem Baptist Church. Rev. Willie Antwine, Sr., Pastor, will officiate. The Christian Committal will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., of Okmulgee.
