Obituary
Mr. Armous Luther "Dad" Wilson, left this life for a life eternal on Sunday morning, April 6, 2008 from Okmulgee Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Wilson was born in Okmulgee County on September 1, 1935, the son of Armous Luther and Carillis [Jackson] Wilson. A lifelong resident of Okmulgee, he grew up in the Northwest community area of Okmulgee and attended Okmulgee Public Schools.
Mr. Wilson, better known as "Pete" during his younger years and also as "Dad Wilson" worked in the construction industry for many years and also worked for Preston Schools as a Bus Driver and in the Maintenance Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers, Nathaniel, Lester, Varnell, Curtis, Freddie and an infant brother.
He leaves to lament his passing; his sons, Deric Anthony [Lisa] Wilson, Okmulgee, Oklahoma and Brian Prentice [Teresa] Wilson, Sr., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his daughters, Carieta "Tiny" [Rev. Willie Jr.] Antwine, Kathy Dalcour, Alice Wilson, Sherl [Rodney] Phillips and Donna Wilson, all of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; his brothers, Wardell Wilson, Kansas City, Missouri, Otis [Levester] Wilson and Carmon [Juanita] Wilson, all of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; 16 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a caravan of other relatives and friends.
The final tribute to "Dad" Wilson will be on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in the Jerusalem Baptist Church. The Christian Committal will follow in the Northwest Cemetery in Okmulgee. Funeral services are under the direction of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., of Okmulgee.
