Obituary

On June 1, 1941, a baby girl was born to Parallee and Rufus Brown, Sr., and they named her Arnetia Deloise Brown. She was better known as "NeNe" and was one of eight children.

Later in life, she met and married Chris Talton, Jr. She worked during her lifetime for Baker's Restaurant, Tulsa University at Delta Delta Delta Sorority House, where students lover her] as a cook.

She then went on to work for Luby's Cafeteria, where she traveled from state to state, opening new Luby's.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Okmulgee and the Daughter of Isiah in the Muskogee Chapter.

Mrs. Talton "closed her eyes on this side, but woke up in Glory" on Thursday, October 14, 2010 in Tulsa. She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers, a son and a grandson.

Remaining to mourn her death; her husband, Chris Talton, Jrl, of Okmulgee; a daughter, Gladys, Okmulgee; three sons, Richard, Bixby, Oklahoma, Robert, Okmulgee and Joel, Tulsa, Oklahoma; a brother, LeAndra Brown, Okmulgee; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Ceremony will be held on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in the Mount Zion Baptist Church. The Pastor, Reverend David Burks will Preside.
