IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ashley Chantelle
Baker
October 13, 1989 – June 3, 2023
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Ashley Chantelle Baker on June 3, 2023, at the young age of 33. Her family is overwhelmed with sadness due to this sudden loss. Ashley, fondly known as "Peanut" and "Twinkle," was born on October 13, 1989, to Donna Marie Baker and Leslie Hinson, Sr. She was an incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out, with a delightful sense of humor that could light up any room with her smile and dimples.
Ashley attended Muskogee High School and graduated in 2008. She dedicated a significant portion of her life to being a valued employee at York Manor Nursing Home, where her compassionate nature shone through. Not only did Ashley care for the residents, but she also lovingly cared for her mother and grandfather, Earl Baker, Sr., during their illnesses. Ashley held certifications as a CNA, CMA, and LPN, and she was pursuing her dream of becoming a Registered Nurse while attending Miller-Motte in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the time of her passing. She accepted Christ at an early age, was baptized, and was a member of St. Thomas Primitive Baptist Church in Summit, Oklahoma, under the leadership of Reverend Earl Baker, Jr. Ashley and her children attended services whenever possible.
Ashley's strength and beauty were evident in every aspect of her life. She possessed an unwavering and fierce love for her three children and her family. Ashley was constantly striving to create a better life for herself and her precious little ones. Her hugs were truly one-of- a-kind and will be deeply missed. She cherished family gatherings and the moments spent together. She was an extraordinary mother, daughter, granddaughter,
sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Ashley's support and encouragement for other people's dreams and aspirations were unparalleled. She had a multitude of hobbies and passions that brought her joy. It is challenging to fully express the impact and influence she had on those around her.
Ashley leaves to cherish her memory: her father, Leslie (Sharon) Hinson, Sr.; beloved children, Tru, Loyal, and Leilani McDaniel; siblings, Charles Baker, Gladys (Brandon) Brown, Leslie (Kateri) Hinson, Lorica Hinson, Eduardo Snoddy, Jessica Rutherford (Eli Rutherford), and Sheriddan Reyna (Junior Reyna); uncles, Reverend Earl (Barbara) Baker, Jr., Michael Baker, Sr., and David Baker; aunt, Kathy Baker; special
cousins, Donyail, Michael Jr., Corey, Kiara, Tressea, and Samantha; along with numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Ashley was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Earl Sr. and Ruby Baker; paternal grandparents, Walter Hinson and Geneva Hinson- McConnell; mother, Donna Marie Baker; and brothers, Tony Baker and Jeremy Hinson; as well as other family members.
The void left by Ashley's departure will forever be felt, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. May her soul rest in eternal peace until we meet
