Joy Rillieux Smith and Albert Firmin, Jr., celebrated the birth of a beautiful, baby girl in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 9, 1982. They named this precious daughter Ashley Anita Firmin.
She grew up and attended school in New Orleans, graduating from Saint Mary's Academy in 2001. She then matriculated to college, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Development from Texas Women's University.
She met a handsome gentleman, Tommie Harris, and their love blossomed into Holy Matrimony on January 1, 2012. A devoted wife, loving mother, dear daughter, faithful sibling and friend, Ashley will be missed by all who knew her and had the pleasure to be in her life.
Ashley Anita Firmin-Harris, in her 29th year, "took flight with Angels, to thine place of rest" on Saturday, February 11, 2012 from Norman, Oklahoma. She was met in Glory by her father, Albert Firmin, Jr., her grandparents, Albert FIrmin, Sr., Anita Ann Breaux, Florence Rillieux and Sydney Rillieux, Sr.

The hour of tribute will commence on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Franklin Avenue Baptist Church. The Reverend Fred Luter, Jr., is the gracious host Pastor and Pastor Miles McPherson, of Rock Church, San Diego, California, the Officiant.
You may visit Ashley, as she slumbers in sweet repose at the Franklin Avenue Baptist Church on Friday morning beginning at 8:00 AM until 9:45 AM.
The Horse Drawn Carriage procession will proceed to the Mount Olivet Cemetery following the church ceremony for entombment.
