Deacon Augustus "Gus" Ceasar Jones, in his 79th year, surrendered his soul on Tuesday morning, August 26, 2025 from Muskogee, Oklahoma.
V IEWING ON TUESDAY: Due to the 12:30 pm appointment time at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, viewing will be prior to the funeral service at Macedonia Baptist Church, 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM.
The Hour of Remembrance for Deacon Jones will commence on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the most holy sanctuary of the Macedonia Baptist Church. Reverend Larry H. Smith, Sr., Pastor will Preside and Reverend Anthony Scott, Pastor of First Baptist Church-North Tulsa, will deliver the Eulogy.
Burial will follow the service in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.

Augustus Ceasar Jones born the second child of Booker T. Jones and Mabel Barnett. Raised in Pine Hollow. He joined the United States Army in 1966, working as a large equipment mechanic.
He married Joyce Roland in 1970. Two daughters were born into this union of 44 years: Tracey and Kim.
Gus was a machinist, working at Boeing and Beech, then retiring from Unarco. Gus took great satisfaction in
managing his ranch and cultivating his garden. He had several heads of cattle. He retired from ranching in 2020, selling his last heads after covid hit.
Gus was a dedicated Deacon in Wichita and Muskogee. As a Deacon at St. Mark Baptist Church, He was considered to be a great help to many of the pastors. Anthony Hinson and Jerry Nolan both received guidance from Gus as their mentor.
Those that he leaves behind are his wife of ten years, Debbie Boyattia-Jones, daughters;
Tracy Jones of Maryland and Kimberly (Ricky)of Wichita; step children KeAnna White
(Keondray), Kiara Vann (Julian) and Roman Scott; siblings Luther Jones (Hazel), Felix Jones (Darlene), Stephen Jones (Cynthia), Quinn Jones (Elnora), David Jones (Ellen), Vivian Ward (Danny), Linda Cooper; nine
grandchildren; a childhood friend Arnett Starks and several cousins, friends and family.
