April 16, 1940 – December 14, 2021
Mrs. Beatrice Joanne Hayes, "after Four-score and One Years" quietly transitioned to Eternal Rest on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 in Muskogee, Oklahoma with her family by her side. On April 16th, 1940, Bert and Gertrude Johnson welcomed the blessing of twins, Beatrice being one of the twins. She was affectionatley referred to as Jo, Bea, Momma Jo, and Aunt Bea.
She grew up loving God, and regularly attended church. She loved to travel around to different churches spreading her love of God to many people. She was a prayer warrior, often praying for people, no matter what time or day. Her hobbies were watching her stories and westerns, and playing bingo with her friends. She also enjoyed Bible studies and visits from family and friends.
She loved her family, friends and everybody she met. She lit up every room she entered and brought smiles to alot of faces.
Beatrice worked as a custodian for many years at Wagoner Public Schools. But her heart was caregiving. She worked at Apple Learning Center in Wagoner for years taking care of children, as well as taking care of any family members who needed support.
Beatrice is preceded in death by: her mother and father, Bert and Gertrude Johnson; Husband, Turn Hayes, 2 brothers, Hack Johnson and Bert Homer Johnson, and sister Dollie Barney.
Those that wait upon the Lord: 3 sons - Jeff Williams of Wagoner, Chris Hayes of Muskogee, and Dustin Hayes of Wagoner, Sister - Barbara Carpenter of Tulsa, and her many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The Service of Memory of her life will commence on Tuesday afternoon, December 21, 2021 at 1:00 PM in The People's Chapel of Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc.- Muskogee. Pastor Jack Carey will officiate.
