In McAlester, Oklahoma, a baby boy was born from the union of Bennie William Crumpton, Sr., and Mamie (Thompson) Crumpton. He was named Bennie William Crumpton, Jr.He accepted Jesus in his life and attended Galilee Church of God In Christ. Early in his life he attended Manual Training High School and graduated with the class of 1963.

Then he joined the United States Army/National Guard, where he took great pride in the position from which he retired. At this time he came home from active duty and married the love of his life, Gladys Ann Martin, in 1975, till death do they part. They had six children in their union whom they greatly adored and loved. He then opened his own business of heating/air and appliances, where he liked to spend most of his time outside of family and friends time. He was a true genuine person and a blessing to this earth.

He was preceded in death by: his wife; parents; siblings, John, Rose, Otis, Bill, Lloyd, Lily, and Vernice; and great-granddaughter, Arayah Whitfield.

His loved ones he leaves behind are: his brother, Leon; children, Alonzo T. Martin of Muskogee, Demetress Vann, and Etta Whitfield; grandchildren, D'Angelo Whitfield, Calnekia Whitfield, Devin Whitfield, Alane Vann, Alan Vann, Alonzo A. Martin, Alphonso, and Larinso Henry; sister-in-laws Bertha Jackson, Billy Jackson and Charley Chandler; along with a great abundance of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services for Mr. Crumpton are scheduled for Monday, November 22, 2021 at 12:00 PM in The People's Chapel of Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., in Muskogee.

Burial will immediately follow the services at Paradise Cemetery in Checotah, Oklahoma
