On February 26, 1918 a bouncing baby girl was born to Willie Roberts and Mariah Jefferson in Boynton, Oklahoma. The first of two children born to the union, they named their bundle of joy Bernice. Bernice Fonville professed her faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. She graduated high school in Temple, Texas, and was employed for many years until she retired. She was a joyful and positive person that always had an encouraging word for you. Her beautiful smile and sweet spirit was a joy to all who encountered it.

Mrs. Fonville's parents, sister Inez Roberts, daughter Willa Fonville, and grandson Michael Darryl Fonville preceded her in death. Remaining to cherish her precious memories: her four children; Mary Fonville, Beverly Hector, Claude Fonville, all of Tulsa, OK., and Emma Jean Kelly (Otis), Dallas, TX., two grandchildren; Willie James Hector (Eva), Warner Robins, GA., and Rodney Fonville, Tulsa, OK., 5 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of cousins, and devoted friends.

There are no words that can express how we will miss you. Your wisdom, knowledge, understanding, sweet spirit and beautiful smile, we know that you are walking around HEAVEN smiling down on us. We know that you will continue to watch over us and protect us. We can't ask for anymore that that and most of all we know that you are no longer in pain, or suffering…No more hurt and sorrow. We know you will keep our places warm until we join you in HEAVEN. Knowing all of this, we will deeply miss you that we will be ok until we see you again.

Services for Mrs. Fonville will be Saturday March 1, 2008 at 11AM inside the All Faiths Chapel in Tulsa. Visitation will be on Friday form 12Noon to 7PM
