Betty Lee Johnson was born June 20, 1945. She attended Oscar De Pre in Hamlin, Texas. After completing high school, she enlisted into the Armed Forces in 1963. She attended dental school in San Antonio, Texas and then was permanently stationed in Fort Rally, Kansas where she met he husband Richard Gibbs. Shortly afterward, the family moved to Chicago, Illinois where they lived together for sixteen years. She moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1978 where she was employed by Sun Installation, Fomac, and Barlow & Hunt until she retired. She was preceded in death by her mother and father John L. and Laura Gilbert, and her brother Billy Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Her sister, JoAnn Johnson of Tulsa,Ok; Her two Daughters: LaFayelon Hill(Tony) and Antionette Vincent both of Tulsa, Ok; Five Granddaughters: DeNeeka Hill, Ambry-Ann Vincent, Aubry Vincent, Amber Vincent, Gianni Vincent; Grandson DaMari Johnson; Four Nieces: Latresa Clapp(Gerald), Renea Ervine(James), Raychael Johnson, Krystal Lions; Five Nephews: LaWhalon Johnson, Billy McGee(Phyllis), Bobby McGee(Renee), Gary Johnson, Brian Thompson; Two Great Nephews: Julius Ervine, DeVontae Johnson; Great Niece Jerica Clapp; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services for Betty Lee Gibbs will be Saturday November 30, 2013 at 11:30AM inside our All Faiths Chapel in Tulsa.
