Obituary

Betty Lou Knox was born on September 24, 1952, in Marietta, Oklahoma, to the late Judge Albert, Sr., and Ethel Lee Duncan. During her childhood she was raised in Hollis, Oklahoma, where she received her elementary education. She later moved to Okmulgee, where she
received her GED and later pursued a career in the bakery field.

Upon getting her GED, she attended culinary school and received a baking degree. She started working at the Walmart in Okmulgee in the bakery department in 2003. After many years of working, Betty was able to retire from Walmart after 17 years of service. Betty lovingly raised three daughters. She also later in life raised her granddaughter, Makea. She cared for her mother and sister when they became ill until their
deaths.

In 1975, she became a member of the Pentecost Church of Jesus Christ in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She was an active member of the church and enjoyed traveling to the headquarters convocation held in Phoenix, Arizona. Sister Betty Knox will truly be missed by those who knew her.

Mrs. Betty Knox, an Okmulgee resident, in her 70th year of life peacefully left this life for Life Eternal on, Friday morning, June 9, 2023, with her loving family by her side.
