Bettye Lou Young-Campbell was born to Fannie Mae Collins-Young and Lottie Young on September 8, 1935, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was the youngest of three children, all of whom were girls.

She was an avid traveler and enjoyed spending quality time with her family. In later years, she married Andrew Campbell, and raised Kenneth Duane Campbell as her own son. She and Andrew created Campbell & Associates Real Estate Company, where she enjoyed selling homes. In later years, she worked at Irene Herbert's in Utica Square for over ten years; working there influenced her classy style of dress.

On July 29, 1972, she dedicated her life to Jehovah by baptism, and she was occasionally an auxiliary pioneer, when her health permitted. Her joy and love for Jehovah was contagious. She would preach the good news to any who would listen, as she had the gift of gab. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Andrew; son, Kenneth; baby brother, Charles Wallace Young; oldest sister, Juanita Hannah; brother-in-law, Sylvester Colbert; nephew, Bryce Colbert; and niece, Othella Colbert. She was survived by: her sister, Willa Colbert; sisters-in-law, Carolyn McCondichie and Brenda Campbell; nephews, Daryl Hannah (Jackie), Kevin Hannah (Sandra), Ronald Colbert, Steven Colbert, and James Collins (Kelley); nieces, Sharon Gaines, Terri Hannah, and Jerri Colbert; along with many other family members and friends.

Services will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 11:00AM in the Tulsa Chapel.

Burial will take place following the service at Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
