Billie Gene Walker , Sr., 73 years old, died at his place of rest in Tulsa, Ok. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018.
Born on April 2, 1945, in Greenville, Tx. Mr. Walker began his military service at the tender age of 18 years old in 1963. It was around this time that he married his former wife Gaile Walker and together they began a life in the Armed Forces. Billie served honorably in the United States Army for 20 + years, completed several tours in Vietnam and is recognized as an Army and Vietnam Veteran. This journey allowed him to live in various states and countries, before settling in Sperry, Ok.
During his civilian life he worked 22 years at the United States Postal Service in various positions and later retired.
Billie enjoyed old school music, old history, classic cars and spending time with family and friends. He actively enjoyed life until his health deteriorated over the last several years.
Survivors include: Wife- Brenda Marks- Walker, brothers Bobby Joe Walker, Tulsa, Ok, Willie Teet Walker, Jr, (Ester) San Antonio, Tx, sister Bessie Lee Stoker, Tulsa, Ok, four children, Barbara A. Walker, Catonsville, MD, Mary Jane Walker, Gwynn Oak, MD, Billie Gene Walker, Jr, (Carole), Odenton, MD, Sandra Elaine Walker, Spring, Tx and Tiffanie Marks. Five grandchildren, Sharika Walker, Austin, Tx, Tiffany Walker, Columbia, MD, Von'te Walker and Cierra Walker, Odenton, MD, Lynda Danielle Robinson, Omaha, NE, grandchild Jaliyah Marks and several wonderful nieces and nephews
Billie was preceded in death by his father Willie Teet Walker, Jr., mother Willie James Walker, sister Virginger Walker, Tulsa, Ok, Doris Nell Walker, Tulsa, Ok and brothers Larry Darnell Walker, Dallas, Tx, Harry James Walker, Norman, Ok, brother-in-law Walter Durant, L.B. Stoker, Tulsa, Ok, and late wife Gaile Walker, Severna Park, MD.
