Obituary

On Tuesday morning, May 24th 2011, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and cousin, by the name of Bobby Lee Smith, was called home to rest in peace.

Bobby, one of six children, was born and raised in Muskogee, Oklahoma from the union of the late Charles Rundles and Metherine Smith. He attended Muskogee Public Schools and Oklahoma State University. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age.

Bobby moved to Los Angeles, California after his second year in college. He later moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he met and married Patricia Rucker. From this union he was blessed with a daughter, Ashley Smith, whom he loved very much. He had a special bond with his sister Parthenia. Some even thought they were twins.

Bobby truly loved the Lord. He was very free-hearted, friendly to all, easy-going, and always said "I don't like a lot of drama."

Bobby was a very talented craftsman who had a love for electronics, especially computers, and a passion for collecting movies. He worked at Hale Pump, for several years, building fire pumps. He later transitioned to Circuit City, where he worked on computers. In the year 2000, Bobby obtained his certification in computer information technology and became an independent computer technician.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Charles Rundles, his step-father, Robert M. Smith, his mother, Metherine Smith, a sister, Margaret Richardson, and three brothers, Otis L. Knapper, James E. Knapper and Odell Knapper, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Patricia Smith, a daughter, Ashley Smith, two step-children, George and Shana, two adopted children, Tiana and Monique (all of Philadelphia Pennsylvania), a sister, Parthenia Smith Foster, a brother-in-law, Ronnie Foster, of Goochland, Virginia, three uncles, Cephus Spencer of San Antonio, Texas, Otis Spencer and Leon Spencer of Minneapolis, Minnesota, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. in the Divine Love Fellowship, 500 North "F" Street in Muskogee.

Visitation will be on Friday at the funeral home.
