Bonnie Sue Hill-Martin was born on October 17, 1949 in Quitaque, Texas to Willie Mae Pauley and David Hill. In 1956 Willie Mae Pauley met and then later married her partner in life Eldridge Graves. Together Willie Mae and Eldridge Graves raised Bonnie to be the exceptional woman everyone knew her to be.
In 1975 Bonnie began her career working for The City of Tulsa. Working in the Educational Department at the Tulsa Zoo, Bonnie established many long term friendships lasting to this day. Her experience there also reaffirmed her desire to teach following her retirement in 2002.
Bonnie's pursuit of Christian education started in the 1980s and never truly ended. She encouraged her students to pursue certification through the years and helped many to become instructors and deans, as well. The last couple of decades were filled with many titles and accomplishments at the local, state, and national level. Bonnie was blessed to serve as;
Gethsemane Baptist Church's (Tulsa, OK.) Director of Christian Education, Bible Study Instructor, Mission Study Instructor, and Dean of Gethsemane's School of Christian Education. She also served as The Dean of Records for Canaan, Northwest Creek, and Collate districts, was a Guest Instructor for various District Congresses, Instructor and Assistant Dean for the Oklahoma State Congress.
