Brandon "Short Dogg" Brown
On June 17, 1980, Harold H. Brown, Sr. and Shirley A. Brown welcomed a bouncing baby boy in their family. They named him Brandon Lewis. Brandon as was christen at Cummings Cole Chapel under the pastorage of Rev. Ophelia Harris. As an adult, he accepted Christ into his life and became a believer.
As a small tot, his grandmother (Mumsie) gave him the nickname "Dogg Biscuit". When he entered his teen years, his uncle Charles changed the nickname to "Short Dogg".
Brandon attended and graduated from Boynton-Moton High in 1999. He fondly remembered receiving his firs "bank roll" on his graduation day. He worked at Ryan Manufacturing in Haskell for Two years then for Tulsa Public Schools. After his tenure at Tulsa Public Schools he drove trucks for Sears until his health began to fail.
"Short Dogg" always had a smile for those he came in contact with. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, a quiet comedian, and enjoyed watching tv, computer work, and most of all spending time with family.
After a long illness, the Lord called Brandon home. He said come to my house, where I have prepared a place for you. In my house you won't need extra oxygen, no more pills, no more stress, or health burdens.
Brandon was preceded in death by his father, maternal and paternal grandparents, and a host of other relatives and friends. Brown (Mercedes) of Tulsa, OK., a sister Blanch Etta Lang (William) of Fayettville, AR., a special cousin Brian K. Clark Sr., and a host of other relatives and friends.
