Obituary

"In my father's house are many mansions, if it were not so I would
have told you. I go to prepare a place for you and if I go and prepare
a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself,
that where I am there ye may be also (St. John 14:1-3)."


On November 27,1956, a baby girl was born to Darnell Scruggs and Shirley White in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and they named her Brenda LaVonne Scruggs. At an early age Brenda professed her belief in Christ and worked in the church. Brenda attended school in Oklahoma City, OK, Wewoka, OK, and Muskogee, OK. She graduated from Muskogee High School in May 1976.

After high school she met and married Clifford Stewart and to this union they had twins, Karla and Karlus Stewart. She later met and married Herman Logan Jr., and of this union of 41 years, they had Kenyetta, Larry, and Montrez Logan. Brenda was proceeded in death by her father, Darnell Scruggs, Mother, Shirley White, paternal grandmother Carrie Smith (Momma Carrie), and her two sons, Karlus and Montrez.
Brenda leaves to cherish her memories, her husband Herman Logan(of the home), Karla Stewart(Tulsa, OK), Kenyetta Logan(Tulsa, OK), Larry Logan(Edweena)(Tulsa, OK), Tyree Logan(Oklahoma City), Demetria Logan (Oklahoma City), six grandchildren, Jont'e Stewart, Laryaha Logan, LaMari Logan, LaVayah Logan, Larry Logan Jr, and Bubba Washington, and one great-granddaughter, Nickole Adams, and her mother who raised her and installed the foundation of her church ministries into her, Jewell Grey(Wagoner), two sisters Elesha Scruggs(Wagoner, OK),
Donetta Scruggs(Wagoner, Ok), four brothers Terry Vaughn (Stephanie)(Muskogee, OK), Donald Scruggs(Wagoner, OK), Gregory Scruggs(Muskogee, OK), Kevin Scruggs(Ft. Wayne, Indiana), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Brenda loved her family, church, horses, and dogs.

Services will be Saturday March 20. 2021 at 11AM at Latter House Outreach Ministries.

Visitation will be Friday from 1PM until 6PM in the Tulsa Chapel.
