IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Brenda Joyce
Wilson
February 21, 1954 – September 6, 2021
It was the winter of 1954, on February 21 that a bubbly baby girl was born to Obie & Liller Waller. She was the 11th of 13 children, they named her Brenda Joyce. She was outgoing, spontaneous, full of life, and a born leader. At an early age, she gave her life to Christ making Liberty
Baptist her church home.
She later joined her husband at Morning Star Baptist Church. She was a product of Tulsa Public Schools, graduating from
Booker T. Washington in 1972. She received her bachelors degree from Langston University in 1976.
Brenda worked for the State of Oklahoma for 30 years at the Lloyd E. Radar facility, working as a Youth Specialist Counselor & Sex Offender Advocate. She also worked at Job Corps working as a Youth Guidance Counselor. While working at DHS she worked as a School Base Social Worker.
She was affectionately called "Blondie" because of her hair color choice. She met and married the love of her life, Ralph Wilson, and to this union a son was born. They named him Jason Douglas Wilson. Brenda was a savvy business partner to her husband. They were the proud owners of Wilson's Family Clothing Store and Big Ralph's Barbeque.
Preceding her in death were, her parents, Obie & Liller Waller; brother, Robert Waller; three sisters, Barbara (Waller) Wilson, Marian (Waller) Tinsley, and Erma (Waller) Tillmon.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Ralph Wilson; two sons, Chris Wilson and Jason (Mikhael) Wilson; grandchildren, DeMarque, Reality, Irianna, J. II, and Fenix; great-grandson, D'Kari; four sisters, Gladys Johnson of Pontiac, MI, Pat Craven, Ruby Barnes, and Donna (Michael) Jasper, all of Tulsa; four brothers, Charles Waller of Kansas City, MO, Donald (Eddie) Waller of Kansas City, MO, Anthony Waller, and Gerald Waller of Tulsa, OK; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
