IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bridgette Ladon
Wilkes
October 18, 1965 – July 10, 2022
A baby girl named Bridgette Ladon Wilkes was born October 18, 1965, to Eddie and Bonnie (Graves) Wilkes in Muskogee, OK. As a child, she attended First Baptist Church, Taft, OK with her grandmother as often as she could. Bridgette attended Wiley Post Elementary, Gilcrease Middle School, and McLain "Mighty Stepping Scots" High School. During high school, Bridgette met and had a relationship with George Washington Roberson and to their union Deon Wilkes was born. Following school, she desired to help people and began working in the Provider field. Bridgette was baptized when she rededicated to Christ at Greater Grace-Tulsa. Bridgette later joined First Baptist Mohawk Church where she remained a faithful servant until God called her back to himself. Bridgette loved life and was very strong throughout her life. She was a protector and a fighter for all her siblings no matter what. In her fight for life for many years, Bridgette remained active until close to the time she transitioned. She had home health and near her sunset began hospice services with Grave Hospice.
On July 10th she made her transition to be with her Heavenly Father. Those waiting to welcome her home are parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, niece, great niece, and a host of others.
Bridgette leaves to cherish her memory are her son, Deon Wilkes, siblings Patricia (Floyd) Thomas of Texas; Eddie Wilkes Jr of Tulsa; Jackie (James) Zeigler; and Joyce (Rafell) Williams of Denver, Colorado, nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.
