IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bryan
Nunley
November 16, 1957 – October 14, 2022
Bryan Billy Nunley, was born on November 16,1957 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He is the second oldest of five children born to John and Violetta Nunley.
Bryan was Baptized on April 16,1967 at Eastside Baptist Church, where he was a member. He was actively involved in the youth choir, Junior Usher Board and Senior Usher Board. He later attended St. Matthew Baptist Church until his health no longer permitted.
Bryan grew up in Okmulgee, where he attended grade school at Attucks Elementary, Okmulgee Middle School and later graduated from Okmulgee High School with the class of 1977. He then went on to attend Langston University and later graduated from Oklahoma State Tech in the field of Dry Cleaning. Bryan was employed with the Okmulgee School system until his retirement in 2013.
Bryan loved sports of all kinds. He played football and ran track in middle school. As his love for sports grew, Bryan found it more exciting to watch sports, then to physically play. Bryan loved all sports but his favorite of all was football. His Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays became devoted to his favorite sport and he fully enjoyed it.
Bryan transitioned to eternity with his Lord on the early morning of October 14, 2022, from the Woodlands Skilled Nursing & Therapy in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Violetta Nunley, sister Veronica Ann Nunley-Lewis, nephew Johnathan A Nunley, niece Ar'Rionna M Nunley-Lester and Aunt Loretta (Duz) McFalls.
Mr. Nunley leaves to cherish his memory: two brothers, Clyde Nunley (Juanita) Okmulgee Oklahoma, Alan Nunley (Jacqueline) Cincinnati, Ohio, sister Tonya Nunley-James (Rick) Carrollton, Texas. His brother-in-law, George Lewis and one Uncle, Earnest Foster Jr (Gladys) Detroit, Michigan; 10 nieces and nephews: Tamiya Lewis, George Lewis Jr. (Detrice), Steven Nunley (Scherrice), Tiffany Nunley, Alexis Jordan (Rich), Danielle Nunley, Alexander Nunley, Kaila James, Mia James, and Taylor James; along with a host of great nieces and nephews.
A special friendship was formed with his caregivers, Treasure, Judy and the staff of Woodlands Skilled Nursing Home. Also he gained a best friend there, Mr. Mill, who made his days enjoyable. Thank you for watching over him for the past year while he was in your care.
