Obituary

Bryce Russell Colbert was born to Sylvester and Willa Colbert on January 1, 1960. He was the youngest son of 4 children. He was nicknamed "Brocky" by his Mother, and he was called this by many for the rest of his life. He attended Burroughs Elementary School, Madison Jr. High, Central High School, and graduated from Raymond S. McLain High School in 1978. He also attended Tulsa Welding School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, receiving an honorable discharge.
On August 2, 1984, the light of his life, a beautiful baby girl named Erycka LaShonn Williams-Colbert was born, whom he called Elshonn everyday!

On January 1, 1988 he married Scarlett Marie Berry. He became an instant step-father to four children, Rachel, Monte, Richard and Reggie, also grandfather to one, DeAndre. Though they divorced, they remained friends throughout the years. In later years, Bryce was very happy and settled in his life. He loved spending time with his family, especially his daughter and grandchildren.

Bryce leaves to cherish in his memory: His mother Willa(Father SJ-deceased), brothers Ronald Colbert (Othella), Steven Colbert, sisters Jerri Colbert, Delois Cooper, LaDonna Scott, Arbyn Colbert, his daughter Erycka Williams-Colbert(Jamar)her mother Amanda Gunn (Jeffrey) , her siblings Bobby (LaTeisha) and Ashley Smith, grandchildren Markel, Emani, Khalil and Jaeya-Jamiese, Aunts Bettye Campbell, Emma Fenceroy (Melvin), Gladys Chatman, Lorene Brown, girlfriend Cerita Cato, and a host of other "adopted" children, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and loved ones.

Services for Mr. Bryce "Brocky' Colbert will be Thursday February 19, 2015 at 10AM at Christ Temple CME Church in Tulsa.

Friends may visit Mr. Colbert on Wednesday from 12Noon until 7PM in Tulsa.

Interment will follow for Mr. Colbert at The National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma at 01:00 Hours.
