Obituary

The sun rose and shined brightly on July 1, 1954, bringing a joy of happiness for Joseph T. Andrewes and Lula Mae Littlejohn, as they welcomed the birth of a handsome, baby boy. They named him Calvin Littlejohn and over time, he was given the nickname "Mike" or "Tack Head."

Born and raised in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, he attended Okmulgee Public Schools, where he attended Dunbar High School and graduated from Okmulgee High School with the Class of 1973. Calvin married Sharon Marie Littlejohn and from this union, two daughters were born; Shlonda Lynn and Andrea LeShawn. Calvin and Sharon were married for 27 years and eventually separated, but remained close to share a wonderful, fun loving friendship.

Mr. Littlejohn served his country in the United States Navy - Naval Reserve from June 13, 1973 until June 7, 1979, culminating with his E-3 Status and receiving an Honorable discharge. He was a wonderful provider for his family through his employment at Git-N-Go convenience stores for more than 20 years and worked for the City of Bixby as a water meter reader until he decided to enjoy retirement.

Calvin began in Ministry, wanting to better understand the word of God. He knew the Bible and understood it in translation. He taught Sunday School, where he ministered at Cleaves Memorial C.M.E. Church. He was full of life and laughter, always helping the needs of others. He was truly loved by his children. They were a blessing from God, and they were his strength and his rock.

On Thursday morning, June 10, 2021, Calvin made his transition to eternity from Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph T. Andrews and Lula Mae Littlejohn; a brother, Clennon R. Dade; a sister, Mildred Johnson; and two Aunts, Alice Young and Bertha Richardson.

Calvin leaves in God's care to cherish his memory; Sharon Marie Littlejohn; two daughters, Shlonda Lynn Hatcher and husband Donnie, Tulsa, Oklahoma and Andrea LaeShawn Littlejohn, Euless, Texas; his brothers, Carl Littlejohn, Jr., Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Tommy Littlejohn [Barbara], Tulsa, Oklahoma, Howard Littlejohn, Sand Springs, Oklahoma and Kenneth Littlejohn [Leanora], Hanford, California; his sisters, Linda Reed, Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Teresa Boyd [Jodie], Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sheila Mast, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Denice Moore [Tony], Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Carolyn Morre [Farris], Okmulgee, Oklahoma, JoAnn Littlejohn, Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Margaret Davis, Tulsa, Oklahoma; his cousin and friend whom he loved like a brother, Earnest Richardson; along with a caravan of other relatives and many friends who will cherish his memory.

Calvin, you will be truly missed and we love you. God heard our father's prayers, he felt his pain, he knew he was overwhelmed, exhausted and worried about how everything was going. God said to my father, trust me, we will get throught it together, I will fix what is broke..."Rest in Me."
