Obituary

A beautiful flower bloomed on March 22, 1987 in Muskogee, Oklahoma for Edie McJunkins. This flower, a beautiful, baby girl, was named Camellia Lynn McJunkin.

Camellia grew up and attended Muskogee Public School, graduating with the Class of 2005. She excelled in school and always loved a great challenge. Camellia had a knack with electronics and loved to fix things.

With Camellia around, there was never a dull moment. There was laughing, loving and if she wasn't "fighting" with her brothers and sister, she was laughing with them. There was a close-knit family bond, and often, the long nights hanging out with her Momma, Edie and Richard, watching TV, movies or on the computer.

Personality reflects the beauty of a woman, and Camellia had an infectious smile that affected everyone she was close to. She was very spontaneous and creative and loved to learn about history and visiting exotic places. She also had a gift and special ability to write poetry.

Camellia loved music and all people. She loved everyone to the max and held a special place in her heart for the family and friends that she knew. Out of all of her favorites things in life, her most favorite pastime was spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Camellia Lynn McJunkin, after 28 seasons of Life, "Finished Early" on Monday, February 22, 2016 from Muskogee, Oklahoma. The loving memories within our hearts and minds will always keep your spirit around and with us.

She leaves to lament her death; her children whom she adored; Sunnie R.D. McJunkin and Gareth L.E. McJunkin; her mother, Edie F. McJunkins [Richard]; her oldest brother, Ormondo O. McJunkin [Ruth A. Dorrell]; her sister, Sonya J. McJunkin [James Evans, Jr.]; her little brother, Willie F. V. McJunkin, II [Chasity J. Butterfield]; her grandfather, Willie F. V. McJunkins, Sr.; her great-Aunts, Mary Ankrom and Becky Jordan; six Aunts, Greta J. Carreathers, Denice R. Masters Adkins, Mary E. McJunkins Cain, Valerie A. McJunkins, Aretha Y. Bias and Jowanna [Ronald] Snoddy; sixteen nieces and nephews that adored Aunt Camellia; two great-Cousins that she called Auntie, LaNita Hinton Birdow and Bernadette Hinton; along with a caravan of other relatives and friends.
