IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carolyn
Gross
January 2, 1961 – March 12, 2025
In the year of our Lord, 1961, Cecil Marie Wilson and Earlie Lee Gross welcomed a daughter into their family on the 2nd day of January. They named her Carolyn Lynette Gross.
A lifelong resident of Muskogee, Carolyn attended Douglas Elementary school and eventually graduated from Muskogee High School with the Class of 1979.
Carolyn was a great daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother aunt and friend. She provided for her family through her employment as a nurse aid at the Grace Living Center for many years before her retirement.
Carolyn enjoyed music, dancing, skating, and was outgoing, blunt, and funny. She loved her family and friends with all her heart. Her grandkids called her "Ganny", and she was known to most family members as "Moon."
After 64 years of life, Carolyn Lynette Gross was "Beaconed by the Master" on Wednesday morning, March 12, 2025, from her home, surrounded
by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Earlie Gross, her brothers Stanley Gross and Connie Ennis,
her sister Christa Ennis, and her nephew Antonio Gross.
Carolyn leaves to carry on her legacy; her only child, Brandy Dionne Gross; her brothers, Dennis Gross, Ewell "Putt " Ennis (Yvette), Jonathan Ennis (Beverly), her sisters Donna Ennis and Ewelene Smith (Rushawn); two special sisters-in-law Kimberly Gross and Leila Alcorn; a uncle Phint Gross; her grandkids Alesia Gross, Donell Gross, Ashanti Lewis; her great-grandkids Na'Taia Gross , Jahsiah Jackson and Julius Mitchell; her
nieces and nephews, Kinisha and Rhondrea Norwood, Ashley Alcorn, Dennis Alcorn (Raquinn), Marques Boykins, Kieran Boykins, Cieara Ennis, Brandon Smith, Tayla Smith and Orion Ennis; along with a caravan of other relatives and friends.
The Sacred Farewell for Carolyn will commence on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 1:00PM in the sanctuary of St. Mark Baptist Church in Muskogee.
