Obituary

Caryn Denise Jackson, the second child of Delbert and Priscilla Jackson, was truly a gifted and fun loving woman, who embraced life to the fullest. Those who knew her, embraced life with her in so many ways. Through her music, she sung from her heart, with a voice that God gifted her with. Through her joy of life, she made so many people laugh by taking true events and moments in and around her life and making them so funny, that you wanted her to talk about it every time.

Niecy, as we all come to call her, loved reading very much, she truly love her romance novels. Every chance she had to read, she took it. Caryn graduated Muskogee High School in 1978. She successfully took on several positions throughout her career, with her final job that she loved was cooking and caring for the elderly at several nursing homes in Muskogee. Her true calling came when she dedicated her life by taking care of her Mother, Priscilla Jackson, becoming her Care taker, and personal bodyguard along with her two brothers. And did a phenomenal job in doing so.

Niecy is preceded in death by her Father, Delbert E. Jackson, Sr., a sister, Lavonda Kay Jackson, and a host of family members she will be so happy to see.

Caryn Denise "Niecy" Jackson is survived by her Mother, Priscilla Jackson, older brother, Delbert Jackson, Jr., (Marilyn) and younger brother, Steven Jackson. (1) Uncle, John Stephenson, special additional family members who grew up with her in our home, Lani Teague, Dianne Teague, Tonda Cotton, and Agatha Teague. Her very special relationship she had with her Sister/cousin, Kelley Gaines.  Caryn had two step-daughters she loved dearly, Rozlynn McCormick, and Samantha Alexander.  She also, leaves behind, (6) nephews, Karis Jackson (Diana), Brandon Jackson, Michael Jackson (Kierra), Donnie Current (Leila), Ronnie Current (Canisha), Brandon Current. (6) nieces, Vivian Page (Ricky), Alicia Foster (Chaunce), LaVonda K. Jackson, Tye Williams, and Nakia Burns. She is also survived by a host of great nephews, great nieces, cousins, relatives, and friends, who loved her dearly, as she loved them.  Caryn knew her journey was coming to her last sunset in this life, and wanted to share her love for music with those she loved.
