Her story began on November 25, 1947, when a beautiful, baby girl was born to Mary Elizabeth [Ryals] and Charles Edward Wilson in Early County, Georgia. This precious Angel was given the name Catherine Ann Wilson and she was the third of four daughters born to this union.

Affectionatley called "Baby Sister" by her family and "Cathy" by her firends, she, along with her sisters were raised by their loving grandparents, May Bell [Tiller] and Walter Clovis.

Cathy professed her love for Christ at a young age and accepted Christ when she was five years old at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Blakely, Georgia. Cathy attended Washington Elementary and high School in Blakely and graduated with the Class of 1965.

Following high school, Catherine married John Mathis. After his untimely death, Cathy and her sisters relocated to Muskogee, Oklahoma, where she attended the Church of the Living God. There, Cathy loved to praise God through her gift of singing under the leadership of Reverend Thomas Fulbright. Cathy met and later married Lawrence Allen Thompson, where she became a devoted, faithful member of Dean's Chapel Baptist Church, where she held numerous offices, including Deaconess. Serving the Lord with gladness, she continued blessing souls with her beautiful voice until her health declined.

Cathy worked as a laborer for Corning Glass for over 10 years until the plant closed in 1987. She then attended Bacone College, where she received her degree in Business Management. She then was employed at Ruth Kelly Studios in Muskogee for over 10 years.

Catherine and Lawrence blended their families, by raising three beautiful children of their own, Rondale, Courtney and LaToya Ann, as well as Philemon, Rodney, Lawrence Jr., and Christa. Cathy enjoyed Sunday dinners with her family. She enjoyed most of all, her grandchildren; Ashtonn, Raylynn, Davian, Traeveonn "TK", Dorian, Ahmari Ann, Thairenn and Laurenn "ME".

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

She leaves to cherish her memory of life; her devoted husband of 30 years, Lawrence Thompson, Sr.; her children, Rondale Wilson, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Courtney [Lori] Thompson, LaToya Thompson, Lawrence Thompson, Jr., all of Muskogee, Philemon [DeDe] Currin, Lawton, Oklahoma, Rodney [Robyn]Thompson, Checotah, Oklahoma, and Christa [Oliver] Bohn, Germany; three sister, Marion [Ray] Lewis, Susie Lee and Carolyn Virgin, all of Muskogee; her mother-in-law, Beatrice Robinson, Muskogee; a great-aunt, Cynthia Rose Ryals, Blakley, Georgia; a special aunt, Viola Piggee, Muskogee; Uncle, Frank "Pap" Gardenhire, Muskogee; two brothers-in-law, Fredrick [Kathy] Thompson, Muskogee, Leonard [Robyne]Thompson, Clinton Township, Michigan; a sister-in-law, Cathy [Cornelius] Edwards, Muskogee; twenty grandchildren; along with a caravan of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and her friends and church family from Dean's Chapel.
