Born on September 21, 1987, in Okmulgee, Ok, to the proud parents Judy Manuel and Leon Thompson Jr., Chad attended Okmulgee High School, where he graduated with the Class of 2006.
Chad was a young man full of life, joy, and energy. From a very early age, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior, at New Salem Baptist Church. His kindness, and love for others left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He was known for his bright smile, warm spirit, and the way he could bring laughter and light into any room. Whether with family, friends, or his children, Chad's presence was a gift that will never be forgotten.
Chad was the father to 7 children, Chassidy, CyMiyah, Zuriyah, Chadwick Jr., Alonzo, Alakhi, and Alahna all of Okmulgee.
At 37 years old, Chad gained his wings and joined his family, awaiting heaven gates were his grandfathers, Rev. Lyons Manuel, and Mr. Leon M. Thompson Sr., and his loving grandmother Ms. Geraldine McDade Dixon.
He leaves to mourn, his mother Judy Manuel-Thompson, his father Leon Thompson Jr., his grandmother Ms. Inez Thompson-Johnson; Siblings Jermaine (Erika) Manuel, Tarnisha (Kevonnie) Young, Brayla Minyon, and Braylin Thompson; Aunts, Sharon McDade-O'Neal, Beverly (James) Phillip, and Lorain Thompson: Uncles, Dexter McDade, Bruce (Tami) McDade, Marvin McDade, Mark (Barbara) Thompson, Phillip (Nikki) Thompson, David (Jaunita) Thompson, and Steven (Betty) Thompson, along with a host of nephews, nieces, family, and friends who held him close in their hearts and will forever treasure his memory.
The Celebration of Life for Chadwick will commence on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at the Tenth Hour in the most holy sanctuary of St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church, where Pastor McKinley Rice is the gracious host and Pastor Harold White will preside.
The Christian Committal will immediately follow the services in the Vernon Cemetery near Vernon, Oklahoma.
