Mr. Charles Derrick, after "Three-Score Years", transitioned to Glory on Sunday morning, April 26, 2020 from Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Charles was born on March 31, 1950 in Oktaha, Oklahoma. He was the first child born from the union of Leo Derrick Sr., and Geneva [Justice] Derrick.

Charles graduated from Historic Moton High School in Taft, Oklahoma in 1968 at the age of 18. He gave his life to Christ during his youth and met Cassandra Clark in 1967. From their union, one child was born, a baby boy, Fredrick Derrick.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Clifford Derrick, Floyd Derrick, Frank Derrick and a sister, Annie Derrick.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his son, Frederick Derrick, Muskogee, Oklahoma; his brothers, Leo Derrick, Jr., Omaha, Nebraska, Leon Derrick, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Henry Derrick, Boulder, Colorado and Archie Derrick, Checotah, Oklahoma; his baby sister, Isabella Derrick Strong, Muskogee, Oklahoma; his nieces and nephews, Tamika Ross, Omaha Nebraska, Sheree Derrick, Omaha, Nebraska, Marcus Derrick, Omaha, Nebraska, Thelma Derrick, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Winnie [Darius] Strong, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Justin Strong, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Blossom Derrick-Strong, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Leon Derrick, Jr., Tulsa, Oklahoma, and DeAnthony Little, Atlanta, Georgia; along with a host of cousins, other relatives and friends that loved him.

You may visit Mr. Derrick, as he slumbers in peaceful repose in the People's Chapel of the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc., of Muskogee on Monday, May 4 2020 from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM.

He will be cremated after the visitation.
