It is said when life begins, it is like an open book with blank pages. Each day we live, our deeds are recorded page by page, creating chapters unitl we close our eyes in death to awaken in that great palace in the sky.

Charles Etta Jones began to fill pages of this book when she was born to Charles E. and Geraldine Jones, Sr., on September 16, 1952 in Nuyaka, Oklahoma. As a young child, Charles Etta received the nickname "Goldfish" from her great-grandfather, John Turner. She was a very sweet, generous, mannerable child who always addressed and answered an elder with "No, Ma'am," Yes Ma'am," "No Sir," and "Yes sir."

Another chapter in Charles Etta's book begins when she started her education in Okmulgee County Schools. She attended elementary, middle school and Dunbar High School, before graduating in 1971. She furthered her education by attending college at Northeastern State University. After completing school, she entered the work force.

Another chapter in Charles Etta's book of life was written when she gave birth to a set of twins, Kendrick and Kimberley on July 31, 1977. Approximately five years later, she gave her life to God. She began living her life by the by-laws of God.

On June 17, 2006, the final chapter was written when God called Charles Etta home to rest. Those family members meeting her in Glory are her parents, Charles E. and Geraldine Jones, Sr., her grandparents, John "Soon" Williams, Nelly Lee Grimes and Authur and Louisa Jones, her great-grandparents, John and Almona Turner and William Grimes and her sisters, Aldora Colbert and Gerri Goudeau.

She leaves in God's care to mourn her death; her devoted children and their spouses, Kendrick LeRon Sr., and Leneshia Ann Jones and Kimberly LaRaine and Anthonial Lamont Muhammad, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her brothers, John Arthur Jones, Charels E. Jones, Jr., Dick Gregory Jones, all of Okmulgee, Oklahoma and Mark A. Jones, Tulsa, Oklahoma; her sisters, Carolyn McCall, Arnetta Bruner and Florence Williamson, all of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Akilah Leilah Muhammad, Kendrick LeRon Jones, Jr., Kennon DeRon Jones and Laeemah Labibah Muhammad, all of Tulsa, Oklahoma; also, a caravn of other relatives and many friends.
