Bowen

On May 12, 1955, in Wichita, Kansas life began for Charlesetta Hill. Born to Charles and Gertha Hill, she was the second of four children.
Charlesetta grew up in the Wichita Elementary School System and attended Jardine Junior High School near Joyland Amusement Park where she and her family visited frequently. After the passing of her father at the age of 15, Charlesetta moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma with her mother and three sisters. She attended McLain High School where she graduated in 1973.
Immediately following high school, Charlesetta began seeking a career in the nursing field. She became a Nurse Aid for St. John Hospital. She also became a Home Healthcare Provider. Nursing was her gift, and it showed.
On March 21, 1981, Charlesetta married Frank Bowen. To this union one child was born, Charisse Lavonne Bowen. Charlesetta later became a loving grandmother to 3 grandchildren. Known as "Gree" to her grandkids, she was a proud supporter of all their endeavors. Charlesetta received the Lord Jesus Christ during her young adult life. She and her grandchildren faithfully attended Maranatha Christian Life Center. She later in life attended Keys of the Kingdom.
On the afternoon of Thursday, March 31, 2022, God called her home to live in eternity with him. God gave her a new glorified body and she received her crown of glory.
Charlesetta is preceded in death by her Father, Charles Otis Hill, Grandparents, Odis and Opal Nelson and Ed and Darnella Phillips, Sister Barbara Allen, and Mother Gertha Hill.
Charlesetta leaves to cherish her legacy of life: her daughter Charisse L. Bowen, her life partner Johnnie Larkin, stepdaughter Tanisha Bowen, grandchildren: Tyrian Adams, Frank Colley, III and Infinitee Colley; Sisters: Delores Runnels (Keith) and Carolyn Hill; Brother-in-law Douglas Allen, Jr. (Chloe); Nieces and Nephews: Jacquelyn Allen, Douglas J. Allen, III, (Matekka), Rachel Repavich (Bill), Jarrell Mills and Kaitlyn Waldon, along with a host of family and friends.
A Service of Memory to pay tribute to Charlesetta will commence on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Eleventh Hour in The All Faiths Chapel of Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc.,-Tulsa.
