On January 5, 1992, Chris LaRon Jackson, Jr. arrived as the bundle of joy to Chris LaRon Jackson, Sr. and D'Andria Crooms-Jackson. Chris was lovingly nicknamed "Poodie." Poodie attended Tulsa Public Schools and was presently enrolled in the Tulsa Learning Academy as a Junior.
Poodie enjoyed the game of football. His football career began at the North Mabee Center and he continued to play through middle school. Poodie was attending church at Redemption Church with his best friend and brother Carlando "Mo" Ruff. He lived his life to the fullest and will be remembered for his infectious smile. Although he is gone in body, he will "always" be here in spirit. Poodie will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Remaining to cherish his precious memories: his parents Chris LaRon Jackson, Sr. and D'Andria Crooms-Jackson, two brothers: Tyre and Da'Miek Jackson, best friend and brother, Carlando Ruff, his grandmothers: Cheryl Crooms-Smith, and Sharon Jackosn, great-grandmother Evelyn Crooms, five aunts: Erica and Danielle Crooms, June and Rochelle Frazier, and Dee Morris, three honorary aunts: Wakel Burks, Kimberly Gaines, and Tracye Love, two great-aunts, Fondrea Crooms, and Ellen Smith, three uncles: Rhalondo Crooms, Charles Frazier, II, and Willie Maxey, and a very special "big cousin," Jeremy Crooms. He is also survived by a host of cousins and faithful friends of the family.
Services for Mr. Jackson are set for Saturday June 12, 2010 at 11AM at Greenwood Christian Center in Tulsa. Friends may view him in peaceful repose on Friday from 10AM-7PM.
